What we collect
When you call, WhatsApp us or use the quote form, we receive the details you choose to send, such as your name, phone number, postcode, vehicle make and model, and registration. The quote form does not store anything on this website. It opens WhatsApp with your message ready to send. If a job goes ahead we also keep the job address, the price, payment records and a note that ID and ownership were checked.
How we use it and why
We use your details to give you a price, to arrange and carry out your job, to confirm you are entitled to have keys made for the vehicle, and to send you a quote, invoice or receipt. The law lets us do this because it is needed to take steps you have asked for before a contract and to carry that contract out. We also keep job and payment records because tax law requires it, and we have a legitimate interest in preventing vehicle theft and dealing with any complaint or claim.
Who we share it with
Jobs are carried out by independent auto locksmiths, not by our own employees. To quote for and complete your job we pass your name, phone number, location, vehicle details and the work needed to the independent locksmith business that will attend. That locksmith is responsible for how they handle your details once they have them. We also use WhatsApp, phone and email providers to talk to you. We do not sell your details for marketing.
Where it is held
We are a UK-facing service run from Spain, so your details are handled in the UK and the European Economic Area. The UK treats the EEA as providing adequate protection. Some providers, such as WhatsApp, may process data outside the UK under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not become a job we delete it within 12 months. Job, invoice and payment records are kept for 6 years, then deleted.
