Snapped key extraction
We use dedicated extraction tools to remove the broken piece from the lock or ignition. Pulling at it with pliers or glue usually pushes it further in and damages the lock, so it's best to leave it and call us.
- Key snapped in the door lock
- Key snapped in the ignition
- Bent or cracked key blade
- Worn key that no longer turns
- Ignition barrel faults and replacement
Getting you a working key
Once the broken piece is out, we cut a new blade and program a new key to the car if needed. If the ignition barrel itself is worn or damaged, we can replace it on many models.
Broken key questions
How much does broken key extraction cost?
It depends on where the key has broken and whether you need a new key. You get one fixed price first.
Can I still use the broken half?
Sometimes, if the chip is in the head of the key and the blade can be replaced. Keep both pieces and we'll check.
