Common fob faults we fix
- Buttons worn or not responding
- Cracked, broken or split key case
- Flip key blade that won't flip or stay open
- Remote stopped locking and unlocking the car
- Water damage
- Key not detected by a keyless car
Repair or replace?
We test the key first. If the electronics are fine, a new case, buttons or battery gets it working again. If the key itself has failed, we'll price a replacement key programmed to the car, so you know both options before any work starts.
Key fob questions
How much does a key fob repair cost?
A new case or battery is often all that's needed, which costs far less than a new key. You get a fixed price first.
Can you just replace the case?
Yes, for many keys we move the electronics and chip into a new case and blade, so the key works as before without reprogramming.
